Marguerite C. ‘Pat’ Molloy
LAURIUM — Marguerite C. “Pat” Molloy, 79, a resident of Laurium, was brought into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Aspirus Keweenaw, following a short illness.
She was born on October 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Herbert and Eleanor (Christina) Marutz.
Pat was a resident of the Copper County most of her life. She was a true American and always did her part. She loved the American Life. Her faith was strong, and she lived her life accordingly. Pat enjoyed many hobbies and interest such as making pasties, baking, blueberry picking, crocheting, gardening and listening to her favorite music. She always had such a loving and giving heart, a smiling face and truly a sweet spirit. She will be dearly missed.
Preceding her in death were her siblings, Mary L. Kluge and Barbara Marutz.
She is the loving mother of her five children, Kathleen Hester, William (Joan) Laurn, Ken (Rachel) Laurn, Darlene (Brian) Chandonais, and Stephen (Karrie) Molloy.
She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, whom she dearly loved; Christopher Hester, Jamie Lynn Hester, Andrew Hester, Roger Laurn, Randy Laurn, Heather Lister, Richard Laurn, Jessica Laurn, Jeremy O’Dell, Joshua O’Dell and Jazzmine Harris. She was also blessed with 19 wonderful great grandchildren, whom she dearly adored.
She is also survived by her siblings, Herbert R. Marutz Jr. and Eleanor J. Kyllonen; along with nieces and nephews.
Pat will have visitation on Saturday, December 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the Funeral services at 1 p.m. for immediate family only, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral home of Hancock, with Jerry Keranen to officiate.
Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
