Patrick Charles Brick Farrell

HOUGHTON — Patrick Charles Brick Farrell (1964-2021) died on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Omega House in Houghton, from complications arising from bone cancer.

Patrick was the son of Daniel Farrell (former University of Michigan hockey coach) and A. Jolayne Farrell (nurse/journalist). He was the grandson of Dr. Michael Brick and Mary Carmichael Brick.

Patrick is survived by his parents and his brother and only sibling, Timothy, an attorney in Washington, D.C. He leaves behind numerous cousins and many friends.

Patrick was born in Canada and spent his early years in Africa before moving permanently to the United States. He graduated from Michigan Tech with a degree in mine engineering.

In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, kayaking, jet-skiing and working on “clearing the land” with his friend Will. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for many years.

Patrick’s family would like to express their gratitude to the professional staff of the UP Health System Home Care and Hospice, the Omega House, and a special thanks to Fr. Ben Hasse of St. Albert The Great Parish.

Interment will be in the Brick/Farrell family plot at St. Martin of Tours in Ennismore, Ontario, Canada.
