Timothy W. Rogan

CALUMET — Timothy W. Rogan, 61, a resident of Calumet passed away on Saturday morning March 27, 2021 at UP Health System – Marquette following a sudden illness.

He was born on September 4, 1959, in Detroit, a son to Norbert and Joan (Hocking) Rogan.

Tim graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1978.

He worked as a machinist his whole life, starting at the family business Rogan Precision Inc., working as a plant manager and salesman for Alcona Tool and as a tool grinder for Formatics before ending his career back at Rogan Precision Inc.

On October 22, 1994, he was united in marriage to the former Kim Robbins and she preceded him in death after a courageous battle with cancer on June 13, 2015.

Tim loved to spend time at his camp cutting firewood, or giving orders on how to cut and stack the firewood. Depending on who you ask! He enjoyed many activities: deer hunting, especially muzzle loading season, pike fishing, rock concerts (Lynrd Skynyrd and Crosby Stills and Nash were his favorites) and traveling.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.

Preceding him in death was his wife Kim and his father Norbert.

Surviving are: Daughter, Libbi Rogan (Charlie Gagnon) of Providence, Rhode Island; son, Justin Rogan (Ema Hodges) of Calumet; two grandchildren, Keith and Sophia; mother, Joan Rogan of Calumet; sister, Alice (Rick) Nelson of New Port News, Virginia; brother, Dan (Teresa) Rogan of Calumet and their children Curt and Katie. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet with Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate and Deacon Art Stancher to assist.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m.

Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
