Lois Marie Geiger

Lois was born on August 25, 1930, in Detroit, to William and Violet Neimi. She was a graduate of Calumet High School with the class of 1949.

She married James Geiger on June 20, 1952, at the Carmel Lutheran Church in Calumet. She was employed at Jilberts Restaurant, in Eagle Harbor, Vertins Department Store, and Dale’s Flower Shop. She and Jim purchased Dale’s Flower Shop in 1976, renamed it Calumet Floral and Gift, and operated it until their retirement in 1989.

Lois was a hard worker and loved working with the people. She also enjoyed spending time with her sons, granddaughter, and especially loved spending time and playing with her great grandson, Marcus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and son, William (Bill).

She is survived by one son, Scott (Angie) Geiger; daughter-in-law, Joni Geiger; granddaughter, Nancy (Justin) Riopelle; great grandson, Marcus Riopelle; and faithful fur baby/companion, Flickr.
