James Alfred Storm

BRIGHTON — James Alfred Storm, 81, of Brighton, passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday morning, May 26, 2021.

Born on July 11, 1939, he was the son of Aaron and Martha (Waara) Storm. James was a graduate of Detroit Cody High School, he worked as an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance, retiring in 2000.

James married Eva Jean (Pietila) on July 23, 1960, in Highland Park.

Surviving are his wife, Eva of Brighton; sons, John (Joan) Storm of Howell, Tom (Karen) Storm of Howell, Jim (Sara) Storm of Brighton; daughter, Kristen (Tom) Larson of Brighton; son-in-law, Dan Ylitalo of Maple Plain, Minnesota. James leaves behind 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Irene Frantti, Aaron (Janet) Storm, John (Judy) Storm, Elizabeth (Phil) Ramberg, Philip (Mary) Storm, and David (June) Storm.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly; sister, Maria Sturos; brother-in-laws, Kirby Frantti, and Robert Sturos.

James was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church 2970 Oak Grove Rd. Howell, MI 48855.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church. The funeral service will also be held at the church on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow the luncheon at Riddle Cemetery in Howell.
