Deborah Jane (Mark) Anderson

GAINESVILLE, Va. — Deborah Jane (Mark) Anderson 63, a resident of Gainesville, Virginia, and former Winona resident passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the Georgetown University Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on January 14, 1958, in Ann Arbor. Deborah was raised in Winona and attended the Winona School and was a graduate of the Jeffers School. She also was a graduate of Cornerstone University.

Deborah had worked for several law firms in the New York City area before beginning a career as a Music teacher at schools in Brooklyn, New York, Prince Georges County, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

On July 7, 2007, she was united in marriage to Mark Anderson and the couple resided in Fairfax, Virginia, for 10 years and for the past four years made their home in Gainesville.

Deborah was a wonderful, devoted, loving wife with strong Christian beliefs.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving her are her husband: Mark Anderson; step-children, Michael (Lacey) Anderson, MacKenzie (Trevor) Marshburn; brother, Bernie Lindeman; nephew, Jason Lindeman and numerous cousins and family members.

As requested, burial will take place at the Winona Cemetery at a later time.
