James N. Decker

NEW MEXICO — James N. Decker, 86, a former Lake Linden resident, passed away on June 23, 2021 at his home in New Mexico, following a lengthy illness.

James was born on March 3, 1935, to Hugo and Bernadette (Dupuis) Decker.

He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1953.

He married Dolores Beaudoin on November 28, 1953, in Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden.

James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolores (Dee), his parents Hugo and Bernadette Decker; daughter, Cheryl Montoya; brother, William (Bill) Decker; sisters, Rosemary (Rosie) LaBelle and Dolores M. Decker; niece, D’Niese Mills; brother-in-law, Bernard (Bunny) LaBelle; sister-in-law, Patricia Decker.

He is survived by his children, Debra McMahan, Diana Gonzales, Brian (Stephanie) Decker, Karen Lucas; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one brother, Raymond (Anita) Decker; one sister, Catherine (David) Carlyon, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

James will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Saint Joseph Church in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
