Jerri Suzanne Gray
HOUGHTON — Jerri Suzanne Gray, age 83, passed away peacefully at 9:15 p.m. on July 21, 2021, in Houghton.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 17, 1937, and devoted her early adult life to caring for her two children. As an empty nester she moved to Hawaii where she met and married her soulmate, Roger Gray.
Jerri was fiercely loyal to the people she cared about. While in Hawaii she volunteered at the Kalaupapa leper colony, knitting booties for every single resident.
Jerri had innate artistic talent that was expressed through her home decorating, crafts and paper making.
Jerri was preceded in death by her husband Roger Gray and son Barry Rackner.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Rackner and grandson, Meir Jablon.
