Carol Ann (Buis) Cooley

Carol was born September 3, 1935, in Van Buren County, to Bert and Viola (Shaw) Buis.

In 1953, she graduated from Gobles High School. Carol married James Cooley in October 1954 and they raised two children.

Carol was a school bus driver for Arvon Township for close to 20 years. She was a member of the Arvon township fire department auxiliary and a 4-H leader for many years. Carol enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, and raising small farm animals.

She is survived by her husband James Cooley of Skanee; son, Scott (Juana) Cooley of Clyde, North Carolina; grandson, Dyllan (Hattie) Cooley of Clyde, North Carolina; daughter, Allyson (Craig) Cooley-Brakeman of Traverse City; her sister, Kathryn (Buis) Nogle of Plainwell, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family is following her wishes for cremation and no visitation service. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
