Barbara Jane Edwards
WATERFORD — Barbara Jane Edwards (nee Blight) age 95, of Waterford, passed away on July 27, 2021. Barb was born on August 12, 1925, in Eagle River, daughter of Roscoe and Edna Blight, (nee Bawden). She was married to Walter (Skee) Edwards for 63 years. Barb was an active member of Community Presbyterian Church in Waterford, serving as deacon and Sunday school teacher. She loved boating, knitting, shopping, and traveling with her senior friends. Her favorite place on Earth was the Keweenaw Peninsula (Eagle River and Bete Gris) where she was born, raised, and spent her summers.
Survivors include children, Gary (Patty) Edwards, and Jane (Gerald) Ostrom; grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) Edwards, Troy (Sarah) Edwards, Jason (Kate) Ostrom, Jared (Jenna) Ostrom; great grandchildren Zachary Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Oliver Edwards, Harper Edwards, Joshua Ostrom, Jackson Ostrom, Julia Ostrom, and Jordan Ostrom.
A memorial service was held at Community Presbyterian Church in Waterford, Michigan on August 17, 2021. Interment will be sometime next year at Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet. Memorial donations can be made in her name, to Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe Ave., Waterford Twp, MI. 48329.
