Edward J. Schneiderhan

LAC LA BELLE — Edward J. Schneiderhan, 86, of Lac La Belle, entered eternal life on September 2, 2021.
He was born June 19, 1935 to Edward and Mary (MaymeBurke) Schneiderhan. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School and received his pharmacy degree from Ferris State College where he met his wife Carol Jordan at the Library.
Edward married his college sweetheart, Carol Jordan. On August 19, of this year they celebrated 60 years of marriage standing by each other in love. Their dream was fulfilled with having a large family.
It started with his first job at Bell Memorial Hospital, in Ishpeming, where Mark and Jayann were born. They moved to Laurium where Scott, Heidi, Aimee, Gretchen, Rebecca, John, and Edward were born.
While owning and operating Leo’s Drugs Store of Laurium and Lake Pharmacy of Lake Linden, together they worked hard and developed lifelong friendships as they mentored, served, and loved families within our communities for 34 years.
Being a husband, father and pharmacist were not just a job but a calling. He was an outdoors man whose passion was hunting and fishing and loved to share his adventures with family and friends. Many trips to Isle Royale, out west and fishing on the Rio Grande. After retiring, he enjoyed summers with his family in Lac La Belle and winters in Texas.
Edward is preceeded in death by his father and mother, his sister, Marie (Glenn) Kraft; sister-in-law, Dona Schneiderhan.
Edward is survived from his wife, Carol; children, Mark (Felicia and children – Rafe, Esther & Anton); Jayann (Mike and children – Phillip and Kaitlin) Erkkila; Scott (Jill and daughter Sophia); Heidi (Ron and son Dillon) Bennetts; Aimee (Ken and daughters Miriam and Elena) Eubank; Gretchen (Barrett and children Olivia, Elliot, Isabel, Anne, Mary, Gianna and John) Bartelli; Rebecca (Kevin and children Kaleb, Ellery, Francy, and Owen) Lepak; John (Melissa and children Ani, Ema and Axl); and Edward (Amy and children Jensen and Ella); great-grand children expected any time – twin boys! His brother, Bill Schneiderhan and his children Tammi, Michael and David and his cousin Rita Shaughnessy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday September 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Calumet with Rev. Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate.

A light brunch will follow to celebrate his life and to share memories, laughter, and stories.
