Jayne Youngberg
HANCOCK — Jayne Youngberg, 63, of the Hancock area, passed away at her home with family by her side on Monday, October 18, 2021.
Jayne was born on June 22, 1958, in Red Oak, Iowa to Robert “Bob” and Ruth Youngberg.
Jayne was the sparkle of her families eye and was included in every family activity. Jayne enjoyed traveling with the family and in later years to Michigan to see her sister, brother in law and all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In 1964, the family moved from Red Oak, Iowa, to Newton, Iowa, for Jayne’s schooling. In 1996, the family moved to Midland, Texas, where Jayne’s parents retired.
After Jayne’s mother passed away in 2020, Jayne and her sister Joann moved to the Hancock area to be by family.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1999 and mother in 2020. She was also preceded in death by grandparents Arthur and Agnes Youngberg and Harry and Leora Walker.
Jayne is survived by her sisters, JoAnn of Hancock and Jeann (Roy) Hicks of Hancock, Michigan; niece, Michelle (Steve) LaCourt of Hancock; nephews, Alan Hicks of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, and Thomas Hicks of South Range; great-nephews and great-nieces, Christian, Devyn Sydney, Hunter, and Forrest LaCourt, and Gaige, Avianna, and Kayden Hicks. She is also survived by uncle and aunt, Bob (Shirley) Walker of Midland, aunt Rosemary Celia of Richardson, Texas, and by many cousins.
Her family would like to thank U.P. Health System Hospice Care and UPCAP for the wonderful care of Jayne.
