David James Rapson

David was born on September 11, 1944, in Ypsilanti, to the late Ford Grant and Emily Elizabeth (Buschell) Rapson.

He served his country in the National Guard.

On January 29, 1966, he married Rita McKerchie at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.

David worked at Ford Motor Company for many years.

He enjoyed watching movies and he was a Wolverine football fan. He drank Pepsi Cola day and night. David loved spending time with his grandchildren and he was a collector of many things.

David is survived by his children, Ann (Philip) Pemberton, Richard (Connie Rolston) Rapson, and Patricia (Brian) Vogel all of Sault Ste. Marie, and Kirk Rapson of Ypsilanti; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Beth) Hebert, Melissa Hilt, Trevor Tarvis, Brandon Tarvis, Jacob Tarvis, Ashley Vogel, Brian (Alyssa) Vogel, and Tyler Pemberton; and six great-grandchildren. David is also survived by his sister: Susan Cruickshank of Hubbell, MI; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

David was preceded in death by his patents and a sister, Roseann McMillan.

Cremation has already taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later time.
