Kenneth L. Johns

Born on February 27, 1952, in Laurium to Stanley and Esther (Lamppa) Johns.

“KJ” was loved by all. He loved his Lord and Savior. He was feisty and had a will of iron that allowed him to battle MS for decades. His sickness never broke his spirit.

Kenny enjoyed horse-riding especially pole bending and barrel racing with his Grand Champion Grandette. He loved playing hockey, the Packers, Red Wings and President Trump.

Preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Johnny; and brother-in-law, Art Petaja.

Survived by fiance, Bing Delos Reyes Celorio of the Philippines; three sons, Jeremy (Heather) Johns of Newport, Jesse (Holly) Johns of Oakridge, Tennessee, Justin (Melissa) Johns of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren Jase, Savannah, Kurtis, Yazmine, Jesse Jr. and Bonnie; two brothers, Michael (Sande) Johns of Mayflower, Dale (Linda) Johns of Mayflower; seven sisters, Sandra (Paul) Keranen of Lake Linden, Patsy (Tim) Griffin of Lake Linden, Lorna Beauchamp (Mike Codere) of Lake Linden, Tina (Peter) Dupuis of Bootjack, Candy (Paul) Webb of Ashland, Wisconsin, Jill (Bob) Posey of Gay, and Heidi (Chris) Stoumbos of Portland, Oregon; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a lifelong and faithful friend, Bobby Buzzo, and former spouse and mother of his sons, Valerie Taylor.

The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
