Reuben Kangas
LAKE LINDEN — Reuben Kangas, 89, a resident of Lake Linden passed away on Monday December 13. 2021, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
He was born on April 19, 1932, in Mohawk a son to the late Eli and Aurora (Waara) Kangas.
He graduated from Calumet High School.
Reuben worked in Detroit and later moved to Minnesota working at Hennepin County Hospital in food service. After his time in Minnesota he retired to the Copper Country.
He was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eli, Vernon and Wesley Kangas and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his siblings, Aili (Ray) Nelson, Marilyn (Henry) L’Esperance, Norma (Don) Anderson, Clarice (Jim) Pesonen, Lorene (Gerald) Kumpula, Ronald (Barbara) Kangas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet with Pastor David Taivalkoski to officiate.
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
