Sue Church
LAKE MILLS, Wis. — Sue Genz Church died peacefully of natural causes on November 11, 2021, at Brook Gardens in Lake Mills at age 87.
She was born to William Genz and Martha Bond Genz on October 18, 1934.
Sue graduated from Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina, and later obtained her master’s degree in social work from George Williams College in Illinois.
Aside from her family responsibilities, she had a long career in social work, as activity director at a children’s home and then for many years as a school social worker.
Sue was always an avid reader, a music lover, and a painter, and she leaves behind many beautiful watercolors. Her family was a great pleasure, and she enjoyed every visit.
Sue is survived by John Church and their two children, Stuart Church and Molly Chirillo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many valued friends.
