Christine Marie Kyllonen

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Christine Marie Kyllonen passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

Chris was born on August 15, 1953, in Detroit to Wallace and Janet (Bolf) Coponen.

Chris grew up and attended school in Houghton, where she graduated in 1971.

She married Richard (Rick) Kyllonen on August 17, 1974, in Houghton.

Chris was raised in the Apostolic Lutheran Church and later attended Calvary Chapel in Spokane, Washington.

Chris loved crafts, knitting and baking and always put others first. After the children were in school, Chris loved working and caring for people and was a CNA in various places and helped in the family business at times and helped at the local school as an aide.

But with Chris, family was the most important thing to her and she loved all her grandchildren tremendously. She had a way of making everyone feel special.

She is preceded in death by her father Wallace Coponen in 1989.

Chris is survived by her husband, Richard (Rick) Kyllonen at the home; four children, Jason Kyllonen, William (Beth) Kyllonen, Matthew (Anna) Kyllonen and Diana (Justin) West; along with 30 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; mother, Janet Coponen; and nine siblings Denise (Tom) Matson, Daniel (Sandy) Coponen, Duane Coponen, Kelly (Bruce) Lantto, Renee Coponen, David (Julie) Coponen, John (Connie) Coponen, Karen (Scott) Niemitalo and Mark (Marcia) Coponen; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, 505 10th St., Davenport, WA 99122.

Burial will follow at the cemetery at 35900 SR 25 N., Davenport, WA.
