Anthony Joseph ‘Tony’ Domitrovich

TUCSON, Ariz. — Anthony Joseph “Tony” Domitrovich passed away on February 16, 2022, at his winter home in Tucson, Arizona. He was 82 years old.

Tony was born on September 18, 1939, in Ontonagon, and graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1957. In 1959, he married Barbara Lee Goulet, and went on to have four daughters.

Tony was a founder of the Norwich Country Club located in Ontonagon. He was also a Ontonagon township supervisor, and he was on the Ontonagon County Board of Commissioners. Tony was a member of the Downtown Development Authority, he was a very active member of the Rotary Club and the exchange student program, and he was one of the founders of the Frost Junction Ponderosa club.

Tony was preceded in death by two daughters, Dana (Brookins) Domitrovich and Ann Rene “Anna” Domitrovich Gravely; three brothers, Frank, Carl and Martin, and two sisters, Helen Hoefferle and Mary Lou Domitrovich.

Tony is survived by his wife, Barbara, and two daughters, Andrea Lynn Von Seggern and Antoinette Lee “Tona” Basile, and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley and George, and one sister, Dorothy Condon, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been made with Cane Funeral Home for visitation at 10 a.m., and funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ontonagon on May 14th, 2022. In lieu of monetary gifts, the family would like donations made to the Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts, 311 N Steel, Ontonagon, MI 49953. Dana was a founder, and Tony was always very proud of her. Tony will also be joining the Holy Family Catholic Church Family Tree sculpture.
