Steven A. Peterson

He was born on August 24, 1959, in Laurium to Arnold and Marianne (Sturos) Peterson. He attended the local schools and graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1977.

Steve worked various jobs downstate and mostly drove taxi in Las Vegas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold; grandparents, Gustav and Cecilia Peterson, Arne and Martha Sturos; and brother-in-law, Paul Isaacson.

He is survived by his mother, Marianne Peterson of Canal View in Hancock; siblings, Donna Isaacson of Mohawk, Dianne (Mike) Larson of Chassell, Brian (Melissa) Peterson of Albertville, Minnesota, Calvin (Jennifer) Peterson of Delano, Minnesota, Lisa (Joe) Niemi of Milford, Eric (Annu) Peterson of Brighton, Elona (Steve) Niemi of Howell, Maria (Randy) L’Esperance of Byron, Bruce Peterson of Bismarck, North Dakota, Marce (Phil) Halonen of Calumet, Myra (Steve) Nordstrom of Atlantic Mine; 95 nieces and nephews; also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet with Mark Halonen to officiate.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet.

Burial will take place in Lake View Cemetery.
