Gordon ‘Bud’ Donald Congdon
HIGH POINT, N.C. — Gordon “Bud” Donald Congdon, 83, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his home. He was a long-time resident of Dollar Bay before moving to North Carolina with his wife Sharon, who survived him.
He worked several different jobs while young before entering the mining career. He spent 33.5 years working for the Copper Range Mine in White Pine until it closed. He then worked for Econo Foods until retirement.
He spent his free time fishing and tinkering with different small projects, along with taking care of his beloved dog “Maggie”
He is the son of Gordon and Beatrice Congdon of Hancock, (both deceased); two sibblings, Carol (deceased) and Barbara (Clete) (deceased); children, Barbara (James) Headington, Linda (Michael) Williamson, Darell (Cherese) Congdon, Carol (Steve) Partanen, Scott (deceased) Congdon, Jennifer (Josh) Erickson, Christina (John) Lantto, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Inurnment will be in Houghton at a later date.
