Sandra Johnson

She was born on October 29, 1967, in Laurium to Kenneth and Ethel (Maatta) Mills. She attended the local schools.

Sandra worked for the Calumet Electronics Corporation for 15 years.

Sandra enjoyed the outdoors, especially when she went out camping and four-wheeling. She had a passion for music. She loved spending time with her family and friends where she made it her goal to make everyone smile.

On August 17, 1996 she was united in marriage to Michael Johnson in Calumet.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Calumet.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Ethel Mills; both her paternal and maternal grandparents; and her father-in-law, Jack Johnson.

She is survived by her husband and beloved caretaker, Mike of Calumet; son, Jake Palosaari of Texas; daughters, Justine (Ryan) Kilpatrick of Hubbell, Hayley Johnson of Calumet; grandchildren, Maisy, Hailey, Payton, Brantley, Jacob, Gracie, Mason, and Lucas; her dog, Ozzy; mother-in-law, Judy Brewer of Hancock; siblings, Rick (Karen) Mills of Illinois, Susan (Darren) Karpinen of Calumet, Todd (Karen) Mills of Calumet, Terry (Mary) Mills of Calumet, Joel Mills of Niagara, Wisconsin, Mark Mills of Calumet, Robin (Jon) Hicks of Calumet; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Siskiwit Reception Hall in Calumet from 5 until 10 p.m.
