Joseph “Joe” Rosenberger, Jr.

WAYNE, Mich – Joseph “Joe” Rosenberger, Jr., formerly of Fulton Location, passed away last Friday, June 24th, near his home in Wayne, Michigan. He was 88 years old.

Born in a miners’ duplex with no running water or electricity, Joe’s heart never left the Keweenaw as he worked his way into the Detroit suburbs’ middle class. He spent every two-week Ford Motor Co. summer vacation back home in Fulton.

Joe was a Korean War veteran, Great Lakes sailor, and proud union leader at the Ray Aldridge sawmill in Fulton. He loved everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, sports and gardening. Joe was a kind and empathetic person who always put others before himself, and was dearly loved by family and friends.

Son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Rosenberger, also of Fulton.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Wayne; brother, Donald, of Mohawk; sister Sheila, of Ontonagon; and daughter, Diane and grandsons, Ian and Aiden, of Dearborn
