Marion (Stefani) Erickson

She was born on February 28, 1935, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Ernest “Porky” and Serena (Cederna) Stefani. Marion graduated from the Stambaugh Schools.

Marion married John R. Erickson on December 31, 1955, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2013. John preceded her in death on August 14, 2014.

She was candid and direct. She and John lived their lives with honesty and respect.

Marion is the mother of Kim Maki of Houghton, MI, John (Nancy) Erickson of Ashburn, VA, Beth Erickson (Gary Ziegler) of Sun Prairie, WI, and James Erickson (Stephanie Donner) of Phoenix, MD; proud grandmother of Jessica (Mike) Guoin, Danya Sasada, Elise (Vico) Melo, Jeffrey (Ashley) Maki, Amanda Erickson (Joseph Hogan), Jennifer (Tony) Sleeman, Tyler Erickson (Jonathan Longworth), Samantha (Aaron) Kane, Madison Erickson, and Robert Erickson; and blessed with great grandchildren, Jaiden, Riah Rose, Easton, Liam, Calem, Karma, Piper, Mason , Nico, Bronsyn, and Aurora; She is further survived by her sister, Betty DeSmit; life-long friend, Mary Healy; many dear nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ray “Chippy” Stefani; son-in-law, Ken Maki; and grandson, Danny Ranck.

Private family services will be held.
