James O. “Putty” Morin

Jim was born on June 24, 1939, a son of Nelson and Martha C. (Miller) Morin.

He served in the U.S. Army as a veterinary food inspector. He worked for Armstrong Theilman Lumber, the Calumet and Hecla Smelter, Allen-Bradley in Milwaukee, WI, the Lake Linden lumber yard, and was the owner of U.P. Snack Bars for the Blind.

He was a member of American Legion Post 90 in Lake Linden, Saint Joseph Catholic Church and the 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and he had been a member of the LLH Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed the company from Little Brothers of Hancock.

He is survived by a sister, Marilyn Koski of Sheridan, WY; nephew, Dave Koski of Maplewood, MN; nieces, Amy Koski and Tracey Green of Sheridan, WY; and good friends, Paul and Lorraine Tomasi.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 6 P.M. on Saturday, August 27, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Father Joseph Boakye Yiadom to officiate. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until the start of the funeral on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
