Joseph Mikhail Mihal

Joseph was passionate about architecture and historical preservation. He worked tirelessly, along with his partner Susan Rokicki, to maintain and restore the Norwegian Lutheran Church on Elm St. in Calumet, MI. He served as president of that historical society for many years and sat on several boards devoted to the conservation of the numerous authentic buildings and homes in Calumet. He initiated the renovation of the Calumet Theatre Arch and as a theatre board member was chairman of the Proscenium Restoration Committee.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Ann T. and Joseph Mihal; beloved partner Susan Rokicki; and dear friend Nelda Taylor. He is survived by his sister JoAnn Pardue; brother Anthony Mihal; sisters Melissa Singletary and Leslie Mihal; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Based on personal wishes, no memorial or funeral service is planned.
