Thomas Harju

He is preceded by his wife, Donna A (Cane) Harju of Copper City; father, Robert E. Harju of Copper City, and mother Mary J (Irwin) Harju of Phoenix, Arizona.

He is survived by brothers, Joseph Harju of Minnesota and Frederick Harju of Arizona; sisters, Bette Wolven of Saginaw and Susan (Michael) O’Brian of Arizona. Also surviving are daughter, Carleen Karvola (Shawn Aaron) of Calumet; son, Dale Paavilainen of Gwinn; grandsons Andrew Mattson and Robert Aaron of Calumet; granddaughters, Macy (Greg) Nelson of Mohawk and Kara Paavilainen of Hancock, great-grandsons Cole Gervais, Soren Weber and Nikolas Nelson; his most loyal and loving Labrador Retriever, Lotso Trouble Harju of Calumet, and a very large family of numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces to which he cherished very much.

Funeral service will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home on Monday, August 22, 2022, at 11 a.m.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.
