Jonathon F. Vasko

He was born December 15, 1980, in Ishpeming, Mich., son of Kenneth and Francine (Kostuba) Vasko.

Jonathon grew up in Houghton, Mich., and was a graduate of Houghton High School, class of 1999.

Following graduation, he attended Lake Superior State University and had also enlisted in the United States Army. Jonathon was currently employed at McLaren Hospital working in the IT Department.

During his high school years, he enjoyed participating in high school football, junior hockey, baseball and loved fishing.

Jonathon had a huge heart and always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends.

Survivors include his father, Kenneth Vasko; sister, Jennifer Vasko; numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francine Vasko; and both sets of grandparents.

In accordance with Jon’s wishes, private family services will be held. The burial will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.
