Alice Carlson

Alice “Carol” (Heikkinen) Carlson, 90 passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

She was born on July 3, 1932 to Hilma and Matthius Heikkinen.

Carol graduated from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1950 and received her RN degree from St. Luke’s Nursing School.

She married Rodney Carlson on June 11, 1955. Together they had 2 children, Daniel and Brian.

Carol loved spending time at the Perch Lake camp; and, she was known for her delicious pasties, her gorgeous flower gardens, and her love for their dogs. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and treasured the time she spent with her 7 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rodney; son Daniel (Kathleen), daughter-in-law, Kimberly; grandchildren: Eric (Samantha), Kaleigh, Abigail, Laura, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Anya; great granddaughters, Lenora and Eloise. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Brian, parents, and sister, Delyte Flynn.
