Gloria Ann White

Gloria was born on May 16, 1953, in Calumet, MI, the daughter of the late John Limback, Sr. and Helen (Strauss) Limback. She graduated from Calumet High School, Class of 1971, where she also met her life soul mate, James R. White.

Gloria was always a hard worker and started her first job at the age of 16 at a Dairy Queen in Laurium, MI. After graduation she worked for Calumet Electronics.

On April 29 of 1972, Gloria married the love of her life and soul mate, the late James R. White in Calumet, MI, and they spent the next 47 years together building a beautiful life and family. She was very close to her children and grandchildren.

Gloria had a wonderful sense of humor, always happy and willing to help anyone; her door was always open. She loved cooking and made amazing desserts. Her top priority was her family, and she enjoyed spending every moment with them traveling, camping, fishing, and teaching her kids everything she knows.

In 1975 James opened his own restaurant in Niagara, Jim’s Restaurant, where Gloria and their children worked 30+ years until selling to their son, Bobby, at which time she started working at Monette’s grocery store in Kingsford, MI.

She is survived by her children, Randy White of Randville, MI, Bobby White (Tina Marcouiller) of Niagara, WI, and Angela (Greg) Raasch of Green Bay, WI; 2 grandchildren, Devon Sielaff and Zakary Raasch; a brother, John (Pat) Limback of Marquette, MI; 2 sisters, Carol (Robert) Carlson of Calumet, MI, and Nancy (Dan) Cote of Sheboygan, WI; and nieces, nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and their families.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, James R. White, and her parents, John and Helen Limback of Calumet, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Bob’s Country Bar in Niagara, WI.
