Jacques Bourdeau

Jacques Gervais Bourdeau, 44, of Lake Linden passed away, very unexpectedly, on March 7th, 2023.

He was born on July 24th, 1978 to Ronald and Emily (Gervais) Bourdeau in his Lake Linden childhood home, delivered by his grandmother, Beatrice Gervais and Mary Pat (Buschell) Myers. At 3 months old, he had spinal meningitis and spent one month in intensive care. Jacques went to Lake Linden Hubbell High and graduated in 1996.

Later on, in 1999, Jacques met Brandy Brown-Sayger in Ypsilanti and went on to have Madalyn and Aubrey. His daughters were the highlight of his life.

Jacques loved to get outdoors and exercise, travel, and most of all, tell stories. If people were gathered around to listen to a Jacques’ narrative, he was in his element. He was a very family oriented man, and made friends everywhere he went. He always had a dog or two by his side, and at the time of his passing, that was Ellie Mae, the French Mastiff. He loved babies, toddlers, and all kids. He loved to lead his family, friends, and dog on hikes and excursions in the wild.

He was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Beatrice (Buschell) and Armand Gervais and paternal grandparents, Lorraine (Dessellier) and George Bourdeau.

He is survived by his daughters, Madalyn and Aubrey; his parents, Emmy (Gervais) and Ronnie Bourdeau; his sisters, Bridget (Bruce) Wilkinson and Vicky (John Gravier) Bourdeau; his niece Lorena; and his nephews, Kai and Noa. He had many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cousins, aunts, and uncles that he loved dearly.

Friends may gather from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden, Michigan. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
