Lynn Stallbaumer

Lynn E. Stallbaumer, 72, formerly of Centralia, Kansas, died on December 30, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada after battling cancer for over eight years.

Lynn was the son of Herman and Margaret Stallbaumer. He had two brothers, Galen Stallbaumer and Kirby Stallbaumer (deceased on December 12, 2022), and sisters JoAnn McKinney and Elaine Chase. He was the beloved husband and best friend to Virginia Stallbaumer for over 48 years.

Lynn enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1968, on the day after graduating high school at the age of 17, and worked as a Military Police Officer, Criminal Investigator and Special Agent with NIS. He retired from the Marine Corps on December 31, 1989, after which he worked in construction, welding and law enforcement security.

Lynn loved collecting old classic cars, restoring and selling them, and had a special fondness for fast muscle cars, which he enjoyed running on quarter mile rice tracks in Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Burial will be in the Veterans Section of Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton, Michigan, where upon her death, Virginia will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lynn.

Lynn’s service will be held at South Range Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m., dinner at noon, and burial at 1:30 p.m..
