William “Bill” James Langdon

William “Bill” James Langdon of Ontonagon, MI went to our Lord on May 9, 2023. He was born in Laurium, MI, May 21, 1942 to William and Barbara (nee Terrish) Langdon.
He graduated from Calumet High School, served in the U.S. Army reserves during the Cuban crisis, was a formally trained master butcher, owned a motel/restaurant in Eagle Harbor, and was the former owner of Langdon’s Supermarket (in honor of his parents) in Kearsarge.
Bill loved hunting, fishing, laughing and LOVED being a Yooper. He had the best “Dad” jokes ever even if he was the only one who laughed.
He is preceded in death by his father William Langdon, his mother Barbara Langdon, his step brother Bruce (Joyce) Langdon, his teenage son William Langdon and brothers in-law Fred and David Gromalak.
He is survived by his wife Gale Langdon, brother Joe (Kate) Langdon and sister Barbara (Paul) Horton. Children: Barbara Best, Jerry (Christina) Langdon, Steve (Jennifer) Langdon, and Mike Langdon. Step sons Bill (Shelly) Kobe and Wayne (Melissa) Kobe. Nieces April and Wendi Langdon. Cousins Doug (Veronica) Langdon (and their children), Denise (Gill) Rogers (and their children) and Diana Langdon’s children. Grandchildren Cande Best, Stevhe (Travis) Reid, Megan Langdon, Matthew Langdon, John Langdon, Brendan and Quinn Kobe, Serena, Cameron and Ted. And multiple great grandchildren.
A private family online memorial service will be held May 21, 2023 (his birthday). His burial will take place once the UP thaws. Donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation (or your favorite Veteran charity) in honor of Bill and our veterans is appreciated.
