Diane (Rob) Stites

She was born on April 18, 1958, in Hancock, a daughter of the late Alfred “Babe” and Barbara (Liimatta) Brusorio. Diane was raised in Hancock and a graduate of Hancock High School with the class of 1977. She then attended Northern Michigan University where she received her nursing degree.

Diane began a 43-year career in Nursing starting at the Marquette General Hospital before moving to the Portage View Hospital for 18 years. She worked an additional 21 years at the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital, retiring in 2021.

On October 8, 1992, she was united in marriage to Robert Stites.

Mrs. Stites was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, she enjoyed taking trips to the camp and watching true crime shows and murder mysteries.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Surviving are: Her husband: Robert Stites of Hancock, her daughter: Angela Stites of San Antonio, TX, her sister: Debra Manninen of Escanaba, her brother: Michael Brusorio of Acworth, GA, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Diane will be held 11 am Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Rev. Fr. Jubish Joseph to officiate.

Friends may call on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 10 am until time of services at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock.
