Peter Alan Putala

He was born June 11, 1944 in Hancock, MI, son of Arvo and Wilma (Pirkola) Putala. Peter graduated from Baraga High school and attended Michigan Tech for Forestry.

Peter proudly served in the U.S. Army from June 10, 1962 until December 9, 1962.

He worked as a forester for American Can Company for many years and then later as a pulp buyer for James River.

Peter liked hunting, fishing, golf and spending time at camp.

Among survivors include his son, Michael Putala of Green Bay; grandchildren, Dominic, Cody, Mickey, Marcos, Celeste, and Carina; sister, Patricia of L’Anse; brother, Steve of El Paso, Texas; nephews, Lane, Daryl, Craig, and Keith; nieces, Wilma and Lilly; special grand-nephew, Jake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arnie.
