Phyllis M. Stukel
Copper City — Phyllis M. (Kowalski) Stukel of Copper City passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
She was born April 10, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. On August 1, 1953 she married Frederick Stukel Sr. “Pudgy” who preceded her in death on September 22, 1993.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Bracco of Calumet, her eight children Terry (Steve) LaBonte, Renee (John) Volkmann, Fred (Marcia) Stukel, Jim Stukel, Brian (Stania) Stukel, Ray “Sam” (Julie) Stukel, Mary (Mark) Kingstrom and Jerald “Duffy” (Joyce) Stukel. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, at the Ryan Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at the Ahmeek Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
