Theresa Marie Meyers-Green
DOLLAR BAY – Theresa Marie Meyers-Green, 67, of Dollar Bay, MI, passed away on September 24, 2023. She was born on February 15, 1956. Theresa was one of the most kind-hearted people you would ever meet. When she loved, it was unconditionally and she made every single person she met feel special. Though she never hesitated to speak her mind, Theresa was a very open-minded person and never passed judgment on others. Her smile could light up an entire room and her laugh was infectious.
Theresa graduated Hancock Central High School in 1974.
Theresa is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Green. Theresa is survived by her children: Martin Meyers (Aubrey Meyers, Granddaughter), Christopher Meyers (Katrina Meyers, Wife, Christopher Meyers, Grandson, Colton Meyers, Grandson), and Merissa Meyers. She is also survived by her brothers Ray Ball, Rick Ball, Russell Riutta, Randall Riutta, a sister Robin Riutta Sedore. Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Ray Ball, her mother, Beverly Balcom, her brother, Peter Riutta, and her sister, Peggy Riutta.
Theresa spent most of her adult career in Customer Service as she truly enjoyed helping others. From managing a 7-11 while her children were growing up to running a front-end at a grocery store in the U.P., and onto her most recent and favorite job of being an Optician at her local Vision Center, Theresa truly enjoyed getting to know people and having an impact on their lives.
In her free time, Theresa loved spending time with her family and traveling. Many trips were taken to the Lower Peninsula of Michigan to spend time with her Grandkids and extended family. She enjoyed visiting New York City many times when her daughter lived there and taking trips to Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, and North Carolina to visit family.
No memorial or funeral will take place at this time, but a celebration of life will be planned for next Spring/Summer in the U.P. for friends and family to come together and celebrate her life.
