Andrea G. Jorgenson

She was born in L’Anse on July 31, 1940 the daughter of the late Swen and Alice (Soli) Erickson. Andrea graduated from L’Anse High School.

She married John Howard Jorgenson at United Lutheran Church, L’Anse, on May 28, 1966. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2021.

Andrea was a member of United Lutheran Church and the Covington VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She had been employed at the former Fraki’s grocery store for many years. Andrea enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Andrea is survived by her loving daughter Andrea (Chuck) Cavanaugh of L’Anse, grandchildren Jlyn, Alana, Emily and Johnny, and bonus grandson Landen (Anna) Mattson, great-grandsons Otto and Oscar, and her daughter-in-law Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, sons John Marius, Eric Howard, and Edward John, and brothers Roy and Alan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at United Lutheran Church, L’Anse with Pastor Julie Belew officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Immediately following the funeral services, the family invites friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon in the church hall.

Interment will take place in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
