Ernest Rodda
Coon Rapids, MN — Ernest “Ernie” Rodda, 92, of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away on April 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.
Ernest was born June 14, 1931, the son of Ernest and Saima (Tormala) Rodda.
Ernest graduated in 1950 from Hancock Central High School. After school, he served in the US Navy.
On September 18, 1954, he was united in marriage to Ethel Talso of Trimountain, MI.
Ernest was employed by the Hancock Post Office for over 30 years and was a dear friend to many in the community. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey and the outdoors. He was always joking and bringing a smile to those around him.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Mabel (Robert) Johnson and Lorraine (Roy) Heino.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife Ethel Rodda, daughters Charlene Rodda, Cheryl (Derek) Rogers, grandchildren Gavin and Natalie, and great-grandsons Ashton and Tatum.
Ernest’s remains will be released at a few of his favorite places, during a private event at a later time.
