Teri Gilpin

RABBIT BAY — Teri Gilpin, 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

Teri was born in Los Angeles, CA to the late John and Sara (Nuranen) Wilcox. She graduated from West High School in Torrance, CA in 1972.

Teri was united in marriage to Gerald Gilpin in Redondo Beach, CA in 1984. Gerald preceded Teri in death in 1991. Soon after in 1992, she moved to the Copper Country to be closer to family. She lived a short time in Houghton before making her home in Rabbit Bay. Teri had worked for Delta Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Century 21, and Little Brothers.

Teri enjoyed her life being on Lake Superior at Rabbit Bay. She loved feeding and watching hummingbirds, dancing, and was an avid tennis and Green Bay Packer fan and most of all, enjoyed life.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her dear pets Sophie, Rambo, and Remy.

Teri is survived by her uncle Bert Nuranen, numerous cousins, some which called her “Aunty Teri”, a special cousin Linda Bilich, and special friends Linda, Ginny, Susan, and many others who held a special place in her heart.

A private graveside service for Teri will take place in the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock later this spring.
