Robert B. Neale
ONTONAGON – Robert B. Neale, MD age 84, passed away in Ontonagon Township on November 15, 2023 from a fatal accident at the hunting camp. He was a long term Keweenaw area resident and radiologist at predecessor hospitals to Aspirus Keweenaw, and U.P. Health Portage, University of Michigan Medical School graduate, residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Robert was preceded in death in 1991 by his wife Andrea Roche Neale.
Robert is survived by nieces Erin Roche, Erica (Michael Kovacs) Roche and Jessica Roche and nephew Bryan Roche.
Bob loved the U.P., especially the Keweenaw, and recently moved back from downstate, residing in Marquette. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman having arrived at deer camp just prior to his tragic death. A unique individual with many interests and talents, Bob always made and went his own way.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m. in Section AA of the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet. Ryan Funeral Home of Calumet is serving the family.
