Elizabeth Jacobson

Elizabeth was born on Sept. 30, 1937, in Crossett, Arkansas, the daughter of Albin and Christine (Hendrix) Jacobson. She spent five formative years in the Philippines, where she attended an American school, before graduating high school in Arkansas in 1955. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in 1959.

During her career, Elizabeth was employed by All-Wood in Bayfield, Wisconsin, where she worked for ten years. She was a member of the L’Anse Methodist Church. Elizabeth had a lifelong love of reading and was known for her quiet strength, intellect, and devotion to her faith and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albin and Christine Jacobson; her brother, Albin Jacobson, and his wife, Marie.

Elizabeth is lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at L’Anse Methodist Church with Pastor Bonnie Billock officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Libby’s memory may be made to the L’Anse Methodist Church, Lutheran World Relief Fund, or your local library. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
