Kenneth Kommes

He was born Jan. 28, 1958. in Hancock, Michigan to the late Waino and Lorraine (Tuohimaa) Kommes. After graduating from Houghton High School, Ken spent several years in New Hampshire and Louisiana working as a machinist and truck driver.

He returned to live in Keweenaw Bay, then the family home in Tapiola. Ken last worked at Calumet Machine in Calumet. He was also a member of the Otter Lake Sportsman’s Club.

Ken is survived by his sisters, Virginia Martinson of Commerce Township, Michigan, and Doreen (Dirk) Dagenais of Midland, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held later this summer in Tapiola.
