Lillian Hermanson

OBENHOFF — Lillian Gloria (Riutta) (Erickson) Hermanson reached her heavenly home on May 9 at the age of 86. Lillian was born on June 4, 1938, to Hilda (Anderson) and Eino Riutta in Hancock.
Lillian was a graduate of Hancock High School, lived in Ann Arbor, Farmington, and Commerce Township, Michigan. She moved back to her beloved Upper Peninsula at the age of 63, residing in Atlantic Mine.
Lillian was blessed with six children, Craig (Lori) Erickson, Jill (Timothy) Efraimson, Jana Kivari, Heidi (Michael) Redinger, Michael Hermanson, Andrea (Mario) Campos, and seven stepchildren Ken, Kristin, Lori, Rob, Patti, Debbie and Paul.
Lillian was preceded by her parents; husband, Ronald; son, Craig; grandson, Sawyer Kivari; and great grandson, Nolan Muonio. She was also preceded by all her siblings, brothers, Wilbur, Raymond, Richard, Robert, and Russell; sisters, Verna Johnson, Mildred Huhta, Alyce Jestila, Violet Tuomi, and Esther Hietala.
Surviving are her five remaining children, 35 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren; one bother-in-law, Richard Hietala; and a host of Christian friends and family.
Lillian was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Hancock on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at the Oscar Cemetery. Visitation for Lillian will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 6-8 p.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church and on Friday one hour before the service.
