Steven Basto

Steven was the son of Dolores Basto and the late Edward Basto. He was the loving husband of Karla Pelli Basto. 

Steven graduated from Calumet High School in Calumet in 1975, and attended some college courses. He worked a long career in various jobs ranging from factory positions, maintenance, carpentry, and even working self-employed.

He was a hard-working man and gave his all to every job he held. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing; spending lots of time fishing, especially with the children; and Amazon shopping.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons, Jason Basto (Jen) of Hubbell, Dan Basto and Eric Basto of Calumet, and Matt Basto (Kaylee) of Wellford, South Carolina; his daughters, Kristin Basto of Rosemount, Minnesota, Jenni Schwandt (Bill) of Atlantic Mine, Ashley Woody (Justin) of Walhalla, South Carolina, and Sara Obadia (Arturo) of Orlando, Florida; 25 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and his sister, Darlene Basto of Calumet; as well as many other loved family and friends.
