Margaret Cave

Margaret Ann Cave, 82, of Hancock, passed away in Huntsville, Alabama, on May 28, 2025.

Margaret was born in Hancock in 1942 to Michael John Yankovich and Alma Paananen Yankovich. As children, Margaret and her brother, Michael David Yankovich, spent summers on their aunt and uncle’s farm on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Margaret attended nursing school and eventually relocated to Monmouth County, New Jersey, where she worked as an operating room nurse for a Red Bank Ophthalmologist, Dr. Walter Kahn.

She met her ex-husband, William Charles Cave, while working as a nurse and transitioned to a new career as director of administration for his company, Prediction Systems, Inc. after their marriage and the birth of their first child.

She moved to Huntsville after her retirement in 2013 to be closer to her children and grandchildren, where she spent her final years.

Margaret was preceded in death by her baby brother, Michael David Yankovich; father, Michael John Yankovich; younger brother, Michael David Yankovich; mother, Alma Paananen Yankovich; and her ex-husband, William Charles Cave.

Margaret is survived by her four daughters and 12 grandchildren; eldest daughter, Michelle Cave-Labde; son-in-law, Ganesh Labde; granddaughter, Aiden; and grandson, Amir; daughter, Sandra Boldog and her husband, Sandor Boldog; their six children, Garrett, Dexter, Bryson, Tèa, Norrah, and Elias; daughter, Lisa Bright and her husband Chad Bright; grandchildren, Tucker, Payton, Paisley, and Hadley; youngest daughter, Dana Cave; sister-in-law, Susan Yankovich; niece, Qilly Parker; and grand-nephew, Kyle Rinehart.

Margaret will always be remembered for her warm smile and tender-hearted and caring personality. She always brought light into the lives she encountered, and her kind soul left a positive impression on those lucky to have known her.

A funeral mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection at 900 Quincy Street, Hancock, MI 49930 on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. Burial of her ashes at the church’s cemetery will follow the mass.
