Harold Nufer
Harold F. Nufer, a former resident of Houghton, passed away on July 11, 2025, in Lehi, Utah.
He taught at Michigan Technological University from 1970-88. He was 93.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; and six children, Duane (Lana) of Cedar City, Utah, Kenneth (Leslie) of Columbus, Ohio, Robin Hansen (Rick) of Highland, Utah, Douglas (Teresa) of Cedar Hills, Utah, Thomas (Brynn) of South Jordan, Utah, and Kathleen Michaelis (Lee) of Lehi, Utah.
Harold was a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and served in several places including Georgia, South Carolina, Norway, Massachusetts, and California. He served one year in Vietnam. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, including cross country skiing near his home in Houghton. He also enjoyed singing in various choirs.
He and his wife Marian (married in 1956) have 32 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren.
Harold and Marian moved to Lehi in 2006.
The funeral will be held in Lehi on July 19, 2025.
