Judith Roepke

Judy was born on June 15, 1944, in Laurium, to parents Leonard and Ellen (Lassila) Hill. After high school Judy went to Chicago and graduated from Augustana Nursery in 1963. She then went to Northern Michigan University and graduated in 1968 from the LPN Program.

She went on to have several roles in nursing over the course of her life including, working as an LPN in the ICU for 20 years, an intake coordinator with in-home nursing for five years, and the manager of assisted living for eight years prior to her retirement.

Judy was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Roepke in 1963.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Ellen Hill; her husband, Dick; sisters, Beverly (Eli) Frantti and Linda Luoma; brother, Gregory (Sharon) Hill; and sister-in-law, Anni Hill.

She is survived by brothers, Leonard (Laura) Hill, Gordon (Ruth) Hill, John Hill, and Roland Hill; and brother-in-law, David Luoma.

A funeral service for Judith will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at 12 p.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place in Section 76 at Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
