Mike Gagnon

Lake Linden: Mike Gagnon, 77, of Lake Linden, passed away at his home after a short illness on August 12, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1948, a son of Gilbert and Yolande (Codere) Gagnon. He graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in the class of 1966. He enlisted in the US Air Force in February of 1968and served as an analyst in Turkey and Washington DC. He returned to Michigan and worked as a contractor. In 1984, he was hired by the National Park Service to work on Isle Royale. He retired in 2013 as an Engineering Technician.

Mike was married to Elaine Dulong on December 21, 1973. They parted ways but remained friends. Mike had been an active member of the Post 90 American Legion of Lake Linden. He had served as a Lake Linden Volunteer Fireman for 22years. He was also a member of the VFW, Lake Linden Sportsman’s Club, and the Keweenaw ATV Club. He enjoyed hunting, riding ATVs, and time at the camp on the Gay Road.

He was preceded in death by: his parents and step-father-Ken Treidel.

He is survived by: his daughter-Jessica (Robert) Poirier of Lake Linden; 4 grandchildren-Elijah, Gabriel, Elizabeth, and Lydia; brother-Rich (Becky) Gagnon of Traverse City; sister-Bonnie Gagnon of Lake Linden; good friend-Mark Frohmader; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, at the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden, and the Funeral Liturgy will begin at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Father Raju Jose to officiate. The graveside service with Military Rites will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 20, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.
