Fredrick Shook

A U.S. Army Veteran (1965-67), Mike was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Ramona Jean Maytoreno (Cass City, Michigan) in November 1969. Mike and Ramona had two sons, Fredrick Jr and Thomas and one daughter, Margaret (French). Mike worked as a skilled laborer at General Motors’ Grey Iron Foundry (Saginaw), for 40 years.

Upon retirement, Mike spent his time in Chassell, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He loved mowing, splitting firewood, plowing snow and enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ramona (1996); sisters, Sharon

Schumacher, Patricia Arnold, Jackie McKim, and Kathy Pereau; and brother, David Shook.

Mike is survived by his brother, John (Helen) Shook of Sandy Creek, New York; and sister, Barbara (Rick) Klein of St. Charles; his children, Fredrick Shook (grandchild Marissa Rose Olivarez); great-grandchildren, Leeland Michael (Keith) Hayden Cheryl Rose (Keith), Thomas Harrison Shook (Grandchildren Abigail Jean (Shook) and Grace Lurene (Shook) and Margaret Ann (Jonathan Michael) French; and grandchildren, Andrew Joseph (French) and Michael Andrew (French).

Mike’s body will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Ramona at a small, family

graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, at a future date.
