Marguerite Gasperich

Marguerite “Marge” or “Margie” Gasperich, age 66, a resident of Baraga and former Houghton resident, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1959, at St. Josephs Hospital in Hancock, a daughter of the late Clayton and Virginia (Isaacson) Duxbury.
She was a graduate of Houghton High School.
On Aug. 6, 1977, she was united in marriage to Brian Gasperich of Hancock. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2007.
Marge enjoyed hanging out with friends, having parties at her home, and enjoyed decorating her home for her favorite holiday, Halloween, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Marge was a very hard worker, she worked for the Pizzarena, Parkside Bakery, Jims Too, and ending her working career at the Ojibwa Casino as a shift manager.
Marge was a fighter having survived three brain surgeries. She will be missed by all her friends and family for hearty laughs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Bob and Charles.
She is survived by her significant other, Jarrod Soli; her three sisters, Susan Duxbury of Atlantic Mine, Charlene (Tony) Roy of Dollar Bay, and Gretchen (Eugene) Provost of Lake LInden. She is also survived by her nephews, Christopher (Shelly) Roy and Philip Roy of Dollar Bay; and dear friends, Mike and Cheryl Moran, Eddie and Kerri Maki.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, 2 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home 200 L’Anse Avenue, L’Anse, Michigan, 49946. A short prayer service will begin at 3:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life in more of Marge’s style will be announced at a later date.
